One can pan the timeline using spacebar, but only after panning the canvas without releasing spacebar.

Expected behavior would be hold space, and click and drag the timeline. No need to interact with the canvas first. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? ASEPRITE 0.9.6-beta 2 on Windows Vista 32 bit.
